In the past year we have witnessed wild success within the BIG Life community. But let’s be honest, we have also witnessed some flying flops. What’s the difference between a gal like Destiny who lost 100lbs in 2014 and another gal that hasn’t lost her first pound because she is still searching for the perfect diet? The difference is HUNGER! Destiny wanted it bad.
Or, how about Kirsty who began 2014 by not being able to run to the stop sign and ended the year by completing a full marathon. What’s the difference between her and the girl who hasn’t run her first mile because she’s still shopping for shoes? HUNGER! Kirsty wanted it bad.
What’s the difference between someone like Katrina who took the wild leap and started the business she’s always wanted, and the girl who gave up after the first closed door? HUNGER! Katrina wanted it bad.
If you really want something, you’ll get it. You will find a way.
If you kinda want it then you’ll kinda get it.
If you don’t, you won’t.
It’s the hunger within that drives you on to live the life you want. It’s hunger that reveals a way when everyone else says there isn’t a way. It’s hunger that wakes your lazy butt up at the crack of dawn. It’s hunger that says do it again and again and again.
There’s a big difference between an “I want a candy bar” hunger and an “I want more out of life” hunger. Perhaps we have lived with that superficial hunger for so many years that we have forgotten how truly powerful we are when we want something bad enough.
90% of the goals you failed to achieve in the past are a result of one thing. Lack of HUNGER. You may have wanted it bad the first week, maybe even the first month, but somewhere along the way you began trading what you wanted most for what you wanted right then. Another goal fell victim to diminishing wants and settling for less.
But it can be different this time. Totally different. Awaken the HUNGR within for the life you really want and amazing things will happen. You, the girl who once hit snooze 5 times in a row, will be popping out of bed before sunrise. Why? Because there’s something you want bad.
You, the girl who once snuck doughnut holes and Cheetos like a criminal, will have laser sharp focus on the goal. Why? Because you want it bad.
You the girl who once pointed out everything he did wrong and nagged like it was an Olympic sport, will be building him up and seeing true changes in your marriage. Why? Because you want bad.
Feed that HUNGER.
If you want something, go for it. If you dream of something, do it. If you want to change, the first step is right in front of you. Your HUNGER will die with more thinking and planning. Your HUNGER needs action, progress, and momentum.
